Could you share what tools or scripts you use to disable visual effects while keeping readability in Windows 11?
In my case, I prioritize **productivity**: I keep the power plan on "Balanced" (to avoid sacrificing too much energy on background tasks) and only disable visual effects that actually consume resources, like window animations and the Start menu blur. At the same time, I enable features that truly speed up my workflow, such as Snap Layouts, virtual desktops, and the centered taskbar, and I keep the Office suite and VS Code pinned to the taskbar for one-click access. This way, I ensure the system responds quickly without losing the tools I use daily.
A trend that’s shifting the balance is the integration of **AI** in Windows 11 (Copilot, contextual suggestions). These features do consume a bit more CPU and RAM, so now I tend to enable them only when working with documents or code that benefit from their suggestions, and leave them in the background when I want to maximize pure performance. It’s a good compromise between speed and smart assistance.
I prefer productivity because the balance between speed and Office tools allows me to work without sacrificing too many resources. Have you noticed any difference in battery consumption when enabling customization widgets on laptops?
