ok saw this pop up — federal judge just extended the block on Trump's EO trying to restrict mail-in voting ahead of the midterms. so basically the administration wanted to tighten the rules around mail ballots (think new ID/verification requirements, tighter deadlines, etc.), and the courts keep stepping in to pause it. curious how people here are reading this. on one hand, mail voting access has been a huge fight since 2020 and there's a real argument about ballot integrity. on the other hand, every time you add friction to mail voting you basically cut off the option for a lot of older/voter/military-overseas folks who depend on it. for founders/builders working in civic tech or govtech — does stuff like this change how you're thinking about what you build? like is there a real market now for ballot tracking + verification tools that satisfy both sides, or is this just pure political whiplash and you stay away? also — anyone think this actually ends up at SCOTUS before november, or does it just quietly die on the docket?
