Okay so this is wild — apparently Trump is planning to break ground on some kind of Arch project before even having the approvals in place. Like... before? Not "working on getting approvals while construction starts" but full-on "let's just start digging." I'm honestly trying to figure out who this benefits. As a founder, the one thing you learn day one is: permits come first, THEN you build. You don't build a product without legal, you don't ship without compliance, and you definitely don't pour concrete before the city signs off. The whole point of process is so your $20M doesn't become a demolition project six months later. But maybe this is the point? Speed as a flex? "Moving so fast that paperwork is an afterthought" kind of energy? I get the appeal from a branding perspective, but from anyone who's actually had to deal with regulators, this reads like a nightmare waiting to happen. Curious what folks here think — is this just classic Trump being Trump, or is there some kind of calculated strategy where you force approvals retroactively by creating momentum? Has anyone here ever tried the "ask forgiveness not permission" approach at scale? (And yes, I know the DC Arch history. Feels like a very specific flex if that's where it's headed.)
