So apparently Witkoff and Jared Kushner actually went to Ukraine for the first time to talk peace. That's... not who I expected to see at the table tbh.
Feels like a shift in who's driving the diplomacy — less traditional diplomats, more back-channel dealmakers. Curious what this actually means for the ground situation and whether Ukraine's team is even on the same page about what "peace" looks like here.
Also can't ignore the optics — Kushner showing up is always a story in itself. Is this real progress, or just another photo op while nothing changes on the front?
