Sportliche Fahrwerksabstimmung versus Komfort: Welche Priorität sollte beim Tuning gelten?

From my own weekend-driver setup, I’ve found the sweet spot is a semi‑adjustable coilover kit with a modest drop (around 20‑30 mm) and a medium‑stiff spring rate. Pair that with a dampers that let you dial both compression and rebound. On the track I tighten the rebound a bit for sharper turn‑in, but keep the compression relatively soft for daily comfort—this way the car still feels composed on the highway and won’t chew up the suspension over potholes.
The main criteria I use are: intended use (how many hours you spend on the road vs track), road quality, and tire wear. If you’re mostly commuting, stay on the softer side of the spring/damper curve and prioritize a compliant ride; if you’re chasing lap times, push the stiffness up but keep a few “comfort” settings you can switch back to for everyday driving. Adjustable kits let you toggle between these setups without a full rebuild, making the compromise much easier to manage.
