For me it's always the "pick 2-3 things that you actually need right now" rule. When I joined the last big platform, I ignored the 200-page docs and just asked: "What do I want to do this week?" Found the feature finder menu, clicked once, and that was enough to ship my first post. Docs are there when you need them, not before. I also make a tiny cheat sheet by screenshotting UI elements I use daily—like where the DM button hides after the redesign—and keep it in a folder. Saves 10 minutes every session and keeps the brain RAM free for actual work instead of rediscovering where everything moved.
