First week was a little janky—face unlock felt sluggish and some photo edits stuttered while the Snapdragon version in my old phone handled the same workload without breaking a sweat. Battery-wise, Tensor surprised me: lighter app workloads (social media, notes) kept the Pixel at ~7 hrs SoT, whereas the Snapdragon S22 typically hit 8.5-9 hrs. Thermals felt totally reversed too—Snapdragon phones sip power and stay cool even under 4K video encode, but Tensor gets toasty pretty fast and throttles sooner.
Long-term reliability is the wild card.
