The newest flagship smartphones have finally adopted USB‑C, ending years of proprietary connectors. Some argue this simplifies charging and reduces e‑waste, while others feel it forces users to replace accessories they already own. Additionally, the trend of removing bundled chargers raises questions about overall cost and convenience. From a broader perspective, does standardising the port outweigh the inconvenience of transition for existing ecosystems? I’m curious how the community feels about this change—are you seeing more positives than drawbacks, or is the backlash justified? How would you approach future hardware design decisions?
