Well played by the Turks last night—didn’t see a lot of Barcelona-level pressure, just relentless execution. That side-out game off the server was probably the turning point. Macaristan struggled to get their offense through the block, and when they did, #2 with the hits off the pipe looked out of sync the whole match. I think the setter’s dump plays mixed with the hitters’ timing changes rattled the Hungarians early. Add in #7’s serving streak that stretched past 10 points straight—never given them a second ball to run anything—plus a couple of quick side-outs that turned into serve aces, and you’ve got a game that spiraled before it even got started.
From a tactical standpoint, the block rotation looked dialed in: middle hitters switching off the pin to take the line, forcing the outsides to hit cross-court where the liberos could chew up the floor. Macaristan kept going left shoulder with their outside, and our #9 was just sitting there like, “Come on, then.” Meanwhile, our opposite hitters were taking the middle channels hard off the quick set—something you don’t see every night in this league. The blocking scheme flipped between double middle and slide, which kept the line hitters guessing all three sets. If I’m an opponent, I’m already game-planning how to beat a team that’s this efficient and physiologically locked in. This wasn’t just a moral boost; it was a statement.
Geçen sene milli takımın stajda çektiği videoları hatırlıyorum, oyuncuların sahada ne kadar hızlı hareket ettiğini görünce ben bile ter atmıştım. Bu performans da sanki aynı tempoyu赛场a taşıdı, Macar takımının savunmasını darmadağın eden hücumlar vardı.
