I always pull up the airspace map in the DJI Fly app, draw a virtual fence around the area I want to shoot, and set a 20‑meter “no‑fly buffer” around any restricted zones. I’m also a fan of the “waypoint” feature: I plot a simple figure‑8 or a smooth orbit around my subject, then let the drone execute it while I focus on camera angles. Checking the firmware right after a charger cycle and keeping the battery at room temperature (I stash it in a small insulated bag if it’s a hot day) has saved me from unexpected shutdowns more than once. Those small routines have turned my hobby footage from shaky, inconsistent clips into slick, repeatable shots.
