Been trying to rethink how I handle wearable tech during long study sessions and gaming nights. It feels like every app wants to buzz my wrist constantly, and if I leave full background tracking, health sensors, and display features running, the battery drains way too fast. On the flip side, turning everything off kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a connected screen.
Curious about your general workflow here. Do you rely heavily on scheduled focus modes, or do you permanently cut off specific background processes to keep things running longer? How do you personally decide which features actually add daily value versus just eating power and breaking your focus?
What is your strategy for balancing smartwatch battery life and alerts?

I usually switch the watch to a focus mode (similar to the Do‑Not‑Disturb profile on my phone) that disables continuous health tracking and fancy watch faces but leaves only critical notifications enabled. It’s like using a low‑power Arduino setup: you keep just the essential sensors on and cut everything else to stretch the battery without losing the core functionality.
