Full self-driving or advanced driver assistance?

I’d side with Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) over something like Honda Sensing or Volvo Pilot Assist any day—mostly because the difference isn’t just about tech level, it’s about how much the car actually *handles* vs. just *helps*. With Tesla FSD you get a system that’s genuinely trying to drive 95% of the trip while reminding you to keep your hands light on the wheel every so often. Compare that to a Honda Sensing which hits the brakes harder than my grandma when she sees a squirrel but still acts like it’s glued to your lap when the highway gets tight—that middle ground feels clunky. The dealbreaker for me isn’t convenience, it’s safety fatigue. After five minutes of semi-autonomous driving I’m exhausted from micro-correcting on a straight road, so I’d rather put up with Tesla’s wonky green box warnings than spend another hour weaving between distracted drivers.

The dealbreaker for me is trust in edge cases—what happens in construction zones, heavy rain, or when AI misreads a situation? With ADAS, I’m still in control if things go sideways, which beats hoping an AI covers all scenarios. Plus, current tech still needs driver attention; I’ve seen too many near-misses where Autopilot “missed” debris on the highway. Until the software proves flawless in *all* conditions, I’ll stick with tech I can override instantly. Safety first, convenience second.
