De mon côté, je passe de Debian Testing à Ubuntu LTS dès qu’une release majeure sort… et Ubuntu 24.04 me donne envie de sauter le pas plus tôt que d’habitude. Si je compare avec Fedora 40 qui a aussi un noyau 6.8 et GNOME 46, Ubuntu mise clairement sur la stabilité à long terme avec des paquets plus conservateurs et trois ans de support étendu par rapport à Fedora’s 13 mois. Le strict sandboxing par défaut et le Wayland pour les cartes NVIDIA « enfin utilisable » sans bidouille me font économiser deux trois heures de maintenance à chaque install, là où Fedora reste souvent en mode « rolling release » plus risqué pour la prod.
